Zigong Lantern Achievements
The "Wuxi Zigong Taihu Spring Art Lantern Festival" held in April 1991 set a historical record for the largest number of outreach visitors and the highest ticket revenue for the Zigong Lantern Festival. The Lantern Festival not only caused a sensation in Wuxi, but also shook southern Jiangsu and spread to Eastern China. It attracted audiences from 21 cities and counties including Suzhou, Hangzhou, Changzhou, Nanjing Zhenjiang, Yangzhou, and Nantongshu. The endless stream and busy traffic all rushed into Taihu Paradise. The outreach attracted more than 2.5 million visitors and ticket revenue reached 9.37 million yuan.
