The Lantern Company held the 19th Lantern Festival in Auckland, New Zealand. In Auckland Central Park, hundreds of themed lantern works such as Hua Mulan, Monkey King Monkey King, and Peking Opera characters come to life. Various shapes of dog lanterns add to the joyous atmosphere of the Chinese New Year.

The Auckland Lantern Festival started in 2000. At first it was a small-scale Lantern Festival celebration. Later, it attracted more and more Chinese and non-Chinese people, and its influence increased day by day. Hundreds of thousands of people attended the festival every year. It has now become an eye-catching cultural event in Auckland.

According to information released by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture, from January to April this year, Zigong lantern enterprises have successively held 30 light shows in 23 cities in 16 countries (regions) abroad. The main exhibiting countries include the United States, Britain, Singapore, Germany, Australia, Spain, etc. Among them, the "2018 Chicago Chinese Dragon Lantern Festival in Chicago, USA" organized by Zigong Lantern Company was named "Top Ten New Year Celebrations in Midwestern America" by the Chicago Chinese Forum; the "British Longleat Chinese Lantern Festival" organized by Lantern Group Won the 2018 Sichuan Excellent Cultural Industry Project.

From the time when Zigong lanterns went abroad in 1999 to today, the footprint of Chinese lanterns has become more and more extensive. In the future, Zigong traditional lanterns will be exhibited in more countries and regions around the world, allowing overseas consumers to intuitively experience the brilliant light and shadow art in Chinese culture.
