Talented Required in Zigong Lantern Industry Development
In September, the Lantern College of Sichuan University of Light Chemical Technology started a new semester of courses. A group of students full of youth and vitality through the next 4 years of experience, is expected to become proficient in the lantern creative, design, modeling, production and other full process of lantern composite talents.
At present, Zigong's lantern industry is in a critical period of transformation and upgrading. In order to inherit Zigong's lantern culture and develop the industry well, it is necessary to have a professional college in the industry to provide talent support for further expanding and strengthening Zigong's lantern industry.
In recent years, Zigong has held nearly 1,000 lantern fairs in more than 300 cities in more than 80 countries and regions. At present, there are 2,136 registered lantern enterprises in the city, with a registered capital of 8.955 billion yuan. Zigong lanterns occupy about 85% of the domestic and 92% of the international market share.
However, what does not adapt to the development of the Lantern Festival is that the scale, clustering and specialization of Zigong's lantern industry is not high. The main reason lies in the lack of high-end talents.
It is understood that Zigong lantern industry has more than 100,000 local employees, non-local employees more than 30,000 people. In terms of the distribution of work, there are more than 107,000 auxiliary and technical workers, more than 5,000 inter-disciplinary talents such as operation management and creative design, more than 15,000 skilled technicians, and more than 3,000 special technical workers who hold the Special Operation Certificate of the People's Republic of China.
In June this year, the first "Zigong Colored Lamp Making Training Class" held by the Lantern College in 2022 was successfully concluded. 58 students participated in the 15-day, 120-class intensive training. This is the specific practice of vocational training in the Lantern Academy.
This training mainly focuses on the making technology of colored lamp paste, which is divided into two parts: theoretical knowledge explanation and practical operation. Finally, through the professional skills appraisal department grade assessment, 50 students in the training class passed the examination, and were awarded the Zigong Colored Lamp Paste Production Special Skill Certificate by Zigong Human Resources Service Center. Among them, 35 students were recruited by the project department of "Chinese Lantern Festival", an international cultural brand independently created by the group. The rest of the students who obtained certificates also signed labor agreements with other lantern enterprises and engineering teams and began to work as lanterns.
